The Pro Football Forecast Betting Handicapping Software Engine is also available on the iPhone / iPod Touch! The app name is iBetFootball but rest assured that the same ease of use and sophistcated game analysis currently available in our spreadsheet software product is now available in a portable application for the iPhone/iPod Touch. The iBetFootball PRO app has the same functionality as the Premium spreadsheet program (v4.8) and the iBetFootball Standard app is the same functionality as the Standard spreadheet program (v3.7).  | MAIN This is the Main tab of the application. It gives a brief overview of the program as well as a button which when pressed shows the instructions and a button which shows the disclaimer. There is also a link to the website on this screen as well. |  |
 | DOWNLOAD This is the tab where the user downloads the statistics from our website weekly. It has a spinner wheel where you select the week that you want to download and then press the 'Download' button. After the file is successfully downloaded the user presses the 'Apply File' button to update the database with the weekly statistics. | |

When you see a game you want to analyze press that row and you will be taken to another view that has all the team stats presented in columns for comparison purposes (the green numbers are the better numbers in each category).  | RESULTS This is the tab which shows the predicted final score for each team and the analysis of the game as it compares to the point spread.  | QUIZ / NOTES These are separate tabs in the PRO app. The QUIZ tab contains a football trivia game with over 200 questions. The game has a fun animation of a ball on the field and each correct answer moves the ball forward 10 yards for a first down. Move the ball all the way into the end zone for 7 points. There is even a high score feature that will save your high scores so you can compete with your friends to see who has the most football trivia knowledge. The NOTES feature is helpful when handicapping a game and you want to add a note regarding the game for future reference. On the Results screen there is a button that brings up a note input screen; the notes can be viewed later on a note screen and edited and or deleted there as well. |  |
 | COMPARISON / COMMENT The COMMENT field appears at the top of each Game Information screen and shows any pertinent betting information that might be helpful to you in making your betting decision (trends and prior performances). The COMPARISON feature is a separate tab in the PRO app that allows you to compare the individual statistical categories for each team.  | CURRENT RECORDS / RATING PERCENTAGE INDEX The CURRENT RECORDS VIEW is a new feature for iBetFootball PRO 2010. This view shows a the current records and winning percentage for each team under various scenarios: Overall record, Home record, Away record, Against the Spread record and Over/Under record. The RATING PERCENTAGE INDEX view shows statistics that rates each team and determines their R.P.I. which is widely used to create team power ratings. It essentially measures a team's strength of schedule and how a team did against that schedule. |  |

Each piece of data is input via the keypad number keys into a specific cell, except for the team name which is chosen using a spinner wheel. Make sure you use the number keypad in case the app switches to the letter keys. Use the 'Home' tab to enter data for the Home team and the 'Away' tab to enter data for the Away team, using the 'Next' key to move between the data fields. When all the data points for a team have been input press the 'Save' button in the upper right corner. After both team's data has been entered, the predicted final score result of the game and a betting analysis appears on the Results tab. After selecting the betting favorite team using the Yes/No slider and entering their point spread (positive number), a comparison of the final predicted score to the point spread appears below and shows by the amount of variance points which are the best games to bet on (larger variance is better):
The Betting Analysis section indicates exactly what team to wager on and whether to give or take the points; however it is a risky proposition to bet on any games where the variance is below 7 points. A 'Best Bet' is where the variance is above 5 points. After you have finished your analysis for that game, press the 'Clear Data' button to analyze another game. Please be sure to read the 'Extras' tab which has many useful betting hints, tips, money management guides and other football information.
Partial iBetFootball PRO App Instructions
On the Downloads tab first select the week that you would like to analyze. Use the spinner wheel to select the week number and check the date that appears in the yellow box to confirm. Next press the 'Download File' button and the app will download the file from our website and give you a confirmation when completed. Lastly, press the 'Apply File' button to update the database with the newly downloaded data file. After you have downloaded and applied the weekly file press on the 'Games' tab. This will show you a scrolling list of the games for the week you are handicapping. Press on any game row to view the detailed analysis of the pertinent team statistics which will appear on the GAME ANALYSIS view. If you want to handicap that particular game press the 'Analyze Game' button on the bottom of the view to be taken to the 'Result' view which is where the betting analysis is displayed. ALL the information for ALL the games are downloaded into the app each week, there is NOTHING for you to enter at all! The Betting Analysis and variance points are the same as noted above for the standard version.
2. CAUTION (Non-iOS4 Users): If you accept a phone call during data input the data entered so far for that game will be lost! If you do not accept the call you will be returned to the app with no data loss.
3. You CAN listen to music while using this application if the music is already playing when you start iBetFootball.

We here at Footballbet.net realize that practice makes perfect. If you have downloaded the iPhone app (thanks!) and it is currently not football season you therefore need some sample data that you could use to practice inputting data into the app to get ready for the season analysis. After using the app for a little while you should be able to input the data for one game (both teams) in about two minutes maximum. Please click on the link below to download a file that has the necessary data for you to start practicing the data input for the app. You will see that a little preparation in advance by getting all the data in one place makes for a smooth and quick data entry experience.

PROGRAM NOTES (Both Versions):
1. Since the program depends on accumulated season-to-date statistics it is recommended not to be used until the THIRD weekend of the regular season when at least two games have already been played. As the season progresses the system will become more accurate as statistically relevant trends emerge.
